Colours of the Elbe

From the border of the Czech Republic to Magdeburg, the Elbe River passes through hills and sandstone mountains with the usual dales that add variety to the almost epic scenery.  From Magdeburg onwards, the Elbe floodplains, marshes, flatlands and dykes dominate. After many kilometres of seeing nature's beauty repeated with variations on the same theme, I started to look for design, abstractions and the unusual. The images in "Colours of the Elbe" show Mother Nature as a master painter.
